KAMAL ENVIROTECH has installed turnkey automatic barrel finishing systems. We supply everything from new automatic plate-bake-chromate equipment, to hoist and control upgrades of existing plating equipment. Turn key barrel plating systems may include single or multiple hoists, process tanks, and dryers. Integrated systems include HMI PC-PLC control for rectifiers, ventilation, air agitation and waste treatment. Automatic tote box dumpers, vibratory feeders, scales, load/unload chutes, and powered shuttles reduce labor content.

High capacity poly, steel, and stainless steel barrels improve productivity and quality. Our cylindrical platingbarrel designs provide 18% more capacity than polygonal types. Consistent part-to-anode spacing speeds the plating process. They also provide more consistent plating through custom tumbler rib placement. Positive electrical contact is the result of a single-point saddle and barrel drive design. Programmable plating barrel rotation and oscillation is available with a touch of the HMI.

Single Barrel

Additional process savings is available with KAMAL ENVIROTECH automatic plating barrel cover handling systems. These devices handle steel or poly covers automatically during the load/unload function. The only direct labor required to operate a cover-handler equipped plating or coating line is your hi-lo driver. Barrel plating is an efficient and relatively low cost method of plating. Parts are placed inside a barrel that slowly rotates while it is immersed in the plating solution. Electrical contact is made through the use of danglers or centerbars that are located inside the barrel. This plating method is usually recommended since high volumes of parts can be plated with uniform coverage.

Unloading chute : This is a funnel shaped flat chute made of PP / SS which allows for easier unloading of components onto a basket from the barrel.

Drip tray : This novel arrangement helps in reduction of carry-over of solution at each station, by directly placing a pneumatically operated or rack and pinion type tray below the barrel, while it is being lifted out of a tank. The collected solution is then drained into a pipe manifold and sent directly to the ETP. This substantially reduces the contamination at each station by over 15%.

Drip accelerator : This design feature helps in a faster drip of the solution from the barrel, thus reducing the drip time at each station and at the same time decreasing the carry-over of solution by over 30%.
