Environment is assuming great importance in our day to day life since atmosphere is polluted to a greater or lesser degree by substances produced mainly by combustion of fuels and through industrial process. The real concern for environment has been brought about by the visible side effects of development projects and industrialisation. Modern Technological Progress has come into direct conflict with our environment.
OBJECTIVE OF ETP :
1. The effluent accruing from this activity is contaminated with certain objectionable parameters like pH, TSS and Metallic impurities.
2. To limit the above impurities and render the effluent free from any objectionable parameters as stipulated by the Pollution Control Board.

TREATMENT PROCESS AT A GLANCE :
A. COMPONENTS OF CONCERN
The variety of chemicals used & processes involved is annexed for the ready reference as submitted by the client.
It is evident from the above activity that the effluent accruing from the industrial activity shall show variation in critical pollutants like pH, SS (Suspended Solids) Oil & Grease & Metallic impurities.
An ETP has been designed, to be erected and commissioned (based on Pollution load) at site to limit the above impurities so as to meet the environment norms.
B. DISCHARGE OBJECTIVES
The effluent discharge or waste water requirements for municipal sewer are stipulated by the Pollution Control Board. The Industrial effluent from the company may be discharged into public sewer after the treatment, or for irrigation depending upon the outlet quality.
C. TREATMENT REQUIREMENTS :
1. Oil & grease Separation
2. Neutralisation of Acids and Alkalise
3. Removal of Suspended Solids
4. Reduction & Removal of metallic impurities
5. Reduction of organic content: BOD & COD.
D. SOURCE MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL :
It is generally recommended to adopt preventive measures than curative measures. The objective of SM & C shall be to

* Reduce water cost per unit of production
* Reduce pollution load per unit of production
* Reduce input costs

The main objective of the effluent treatment is envisaged to be met with Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Treatment. This shall consists of equalisation of Waste, Trapping of Oil & Grease, Chemical aided precipitation, Neutralisation, Filtration & Adsorption, Sludge Removal & Drying for final disposal.
